Brian Kouhi
Co-Founder & Instructor
Brian graduated from OCAD University with a bachelor's, majoring in animation. The following year, he graduated from Sheridan’s intensive post graduate animation program.
Since then, Brian worked on Paw Patrol and Abby Hatcher at Guru Studio, animated on the epic Netflix series Maya and the Three, then worked at UKEN games.
Most recently Brian worked at Point Blank Games, and for the last several years he’s been teaching animation and growing a community of over 40,000 artists on YouTube @BrianKouhi

For the last 3 years he’s been teaching animation and growing a community of over 20,000 artists on YouTube @ 3D Animation Hub.
Brian currently works at Uken Games as one of their first 3D animators helping launch the company's first internal 3D game.
Simona Baranovicova
Co-Founder & Instructor
Simona studied drawing and anatomy at the Animation Portfolio Workshop, where she later worked as a TA and Instructor. She helped hundreds of students get into top animation and illustration programs in Canada and the US.
Simona graduated from the Animation program at Seneca College in Toronto, after which she worked on ‘Maya and the Three’ at Tangent Animation. Following the closure of the studio, Simona joined the feature department at DNEG (project TBA). She most recently worked as an animator at Industrial Light and Magic.

Vladimir Mokhov
Co-Founder & Technical Director
Vlad has a generalist background in 3D, including 13 years of working with Blender. He has developed a multitude of personal short films and animations, which can be viewed on YouTube @ VMComix.
Vlad studied drawing fundamentals at the Animation Portfolio Workshop, followed by a bachelor's degree from Sheridan's 4-year animation program.
More recently he has worked on Maya and the Three and is currently doing rigging and animation for B-Water Animation Studios.
Vladimir Mokhov
Co-Founder & Technical Director
Generalist background in 3D including 12 years working with Blender, having made a multitude of personal short films and animations, which can be seen on YouTube @ VMComix
Vlad studied drawing fundamentals at the Animation Portfolio Workshop and then graduated from the 4-year animation program at Sheridan College.
He worked as an animator on Maya and the Three and is currently working on a feature film project at Pipeline Studios.
Who are we?
The entire TOAnimate team has experience working on high-quality productions in Blender (most recently ‘Maya and the Three’ directed by Jorge Gutierrez, available on Netflix) and feature animation films in renowned studios across Canada.
We graduated from top Canadian animation programs (Sheridan and Seneca College), and have years of experience teaching animation and creating online educational content available on YouTube and Skillshare.

Learning a new skill can be intimidating, but we're here to make it easier for you. Our friendly and systematic approach will help you stay engaged and not get overwhelmed with too much information at one time.
Creating a master plan
We will first analyze your current work and discuss your goals with you. Then we'll create a plan to focus on the areas you want to improve the most, without neglecting the rest. By playing to your strengths and working on your weaknesses, you'll push your skills to the next level and create a strong, well-balanced portfolio you can be proud of.
Show off who you are
With every exercise, you'll have an opportunity to inject your own ideas. The instructors will help you solidify them and steer you in the right direction, so that you get the most out of every animated piece you create (both technically and visually). We’ll be there to support you every step of the way and answer any questions or concerns you might have.
